A PAINTED ENAMEL 'EUROPEAN SUBJECT' OVAL TRAY
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The tray is supported on four arched feet and is painted to the interior with a European couple seated on a large woven mat beside various vases, garden seats and a table, all in front of a corridor with drapery. The underside is decorated in puce with elaborate floral scrolls to the rim and within a central roundel.
