A SMALL WHITE JADE 'DRAGON' SEAL
19TH CENTURY
The rectangular seal is intricately carved with a curved handle surmounted by a dragon and its young. The seal face is divided into two square sections, with one reading Jiaqing chen han and the other ji xia yi qing, both in zhuanshu script. The stone is of a pale tone.

The seal mark Jiaqing chen han may be translated as 'from the hand of the Jiaqing Emperor'. The other seal mark ji xia yi qing may be translated as 'when does one have time for leisurely pursuits?'
