A FAMILLE ROSE VASE
YONGZHENG PERIOD (1723-1735)
The vase is decorated to the exterior with flowering peony and prunus branches growing from a gnarled trunk, twisting and extending around the body of the vase, with several animated birds perched and flying amongst the branches. The neck is enamelled with a grasshopper amongst floral sprays.
