A FAMILLE ROSE YELLOW-GROUND 'MEDALLION' BOWL
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND POSSIBLY OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
The exterior is decorated with four circular medallions enclosing Immortals within a gilt border depicting the story of 'The Weaver Girl and the Cowherd', separated by scrolling clouds, all reserved on a pale lemon-yellow sgraffiato ground. The interior is painted in underglaze blue with the reunion of the couple.
