A SMALL BLUE AND WHITE 'PHOENIX' DISH
WANLI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1573-1619)
The interior of the dish is painted in vibrant shades of cobalt blue with two phoenixes surrounded by floral sprays. The exterior is similarly decorated.
6 ¾ in. (17 cm.) diam.
