A HUANGHUALI RECESSED-LEG BENCH
16TH-17TH CENTURY
The top is inset with a stretched woven panel enclosed by a wide frame, above straight aprons and rounded-rectangular spandrels, and supported on rounded square-section legs. The front and back legs are joined by double rectangular-section stretchers at each end.
20 ½ in. (52 cm.) high, 55 in. (140 cm.) wide, 16 ½ in. (42 cm.) deep
