CASE: the case with gilt-metal repoussé basket top, DIAL: the 6 ¾ inch square dial with silvered chapter ring and blued steel hands, strike/silent lever at 'XII', the matted centre with ringed winding holes and calendar aperture, MOVEMENT: the five ringed pillar movement with twin fusees and verge escapement, pull quarter repeat on three bells and hour strike on a further bell, the florally engraved backplate signed Charles Lownds Pall Mall within a wheat ear-engraved cartouche
