Lot Essay

Whereas Schulz doubted the authenticity in his catalogue raisonné of 2002, he fully attributes the present lot after having inspected the original painting in July 2008. He dates it to c. 1648/1650 and believes it is executed by van der Neer in Amsterdam.

This lot is sold with copies of certificates of authenticity by Dr. Walther Bernt, Munich, dated 13 January 1966 and Dr. Wolfgang Schulz, Berlin, dated 4 July 2008.
