Charles Schaw, 9th Baron Cathcart, a representative Peer for Scotland (1752-1756). He was Ambassador to the Court of Russia for a considerable time. Born in 1721 and married in 1753 to Jane, daughter of Lord Archibald Hamilton and grand daughter of 4th Duke of Hamilton and had issue.
