NORTHERN SONG-JIN DYNASTY, 12TH CENTURY
The bowl with wide flared sides is covered inside and out in a lustrous black glaze suffused with a dense pattern of fine silver 'oil spots', ending in an irregular line above the neatly cut foot ring to expose the pale grey stoneware.
