AN IMPORTANT AND RARE CLOISONNE ENAMEL TRIPOD CENSER
XUANDE PERIOD (1426-1435)
The censer is cast of circular section, finely enamelled around the shallow straight sides with a scrolling multi-coloured lotus band under the mouth rim bound with gilt-metal, flanked by a pair of 'S'-shaped handles, all supported on three ruyi-shaped feet.
