A FINELY CARVED BAMBOO ROOT 'PINE' WATER POT
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The water pot is finely carved with gnarled pine branches bearing pine needle clusters growing from below and beside an irregularly-shaped bowl, two branches extending to its interior. The underside is carved reserving the nodules of the bamboo root.
