Lot Essay

This drawing, perhaps symbolizing the triumph of chastity over lechery, has been attributed to Duvet by Dr. I.Q. van Regteren Altena. It may be compared with an engraving by Duvet, A King Pursued by a Unicorn, (Bartsch 40).
