circular box, the cover sides and base set with panels of opaque pale pink enamel within white enamel frames, the cover painted with a capriccio depicting a couple in a landscape before a river, with architectural details to the right and a city beyond, the base with a seated shepherdess and her suitor in a wooded landscape, the sides similarly painted with rural scenes, within taille d'épargne blue enamel borders with trailling gold foliage and flowerheads
