細節
An unusual silver-gilt snuff or scent flask,
each side finely-chased with an Oriental scene, one featuring two figures on a bridge, the other two figures kneeling before a warlord, both vignettes framed with flowering prunus and other plants, the plain screw cap attached with a chain and with a threaded finial fitting into the neck, apparently unmarked, probably Northern European circa 1700 - 7cms

The above object is clearly modelled as a Chinese snuff bottle, hence the Oriental decoration and the shape. It has been suggested that it was originally destined to hold snuff rather than scent, the small cap acting as the receptacle for a suitable "pinch" of snuff.
