"Ethereal, waxy nose of great concentration. High toned, a bit on the varnish side at first with an underlying sweetness. After some air the slight chemical tone vanished and what remained was a lovely old Madeira concentration of dried apricots, old wood and Indian spices. Pure and intriguing. Slightly dry start for a Boal, waxy tones, old furniture. On the finish the sweet concentrated fruit grabs you before giving way to a nice byte of alcohol and concentrated acidity. Very good concentration and length. A wine of character." 17.5/20. EV, May 2015.
