"Sweet intense nose of tobacco, cacao, furniture wax, high toned, fresh and pure. Soft apply taste, concentrated, medium sweet attack, fresh aromas, a touch of spirity on palate, with flavors of old wood, acacia and honey cake (a lovely Madeiran treat). Rounded aftertaste of apples, and waxy acidity. Great acidity. Nice sweetness in the aftertaste with acidity lingering gently in the background." 18/20. EV, December 2014.
