'RHINOCEROS DE JAVA', LARGE MODEL, A PATINATED BRONZE SCULPTURE BY REMBRANDT BUGATTI, DESIGNED IN 1907-1908
Five referenced casts of this large model are known to exist. Number 3 and 4 are unknown. The model was exhibited at the Salon d'Automne, Paris, 1908 and at the Biennale de Venise 1909.
The plaster is part of the collections of the Musée d'Orsay, Paris (réf.3578)
This lot will be sold with a certificate of authentification from Mrs. Véronique Fromanger dated 16 October 2015
