The case inlaid overall with scrolling foliage, putti, figures, masks and birds, the 12 in. brass dial with silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, signed Dan Quare/ LONDON/ :66:, the two train eight day movement with knopped and finned pillars, recoil anchor escapement and rack striking to bell; with pendulum, two brass-cased weights and case key
