This winery was acquired by the current owner in 1979 and have always been thought of as the original right bank “garagiste” winery. Named after the solitary pine tree on the estate, the dual combination of extreme fame and minuscule production, typically 600-700 cases per vintage has meant difficult supply at any price. It is made from 100% Merlot over five acres under the watchful eye of Jacques Thienpont, who now has access to a recently completed state of the art winery.
