The hexafoil cup chased with foliage and strapwork on a matted ground with plain lobes above and below, the conforming foot with scroll capped plain lobes and with a grotesque mask capped stem, inscribed 'To William Earle Welby From His Brothers and Sisters on his Marriage 1863' , the detachable cover similarly decorated and with an auricular cast finial
