The first with 36 ¼ in. (92 cm.) twist two-stage barrel, patent breech with platinum-lined maker's stamp, inlaid platinum line and platinum-lined touch-hole, scroll engraved tang and lock, figured walnut half-stock, and engraved iron mounts, London proof marks; the second with 34 ¾ in. (88.4 cm.) barrel, signed flat bevelled lock, and figured walnut half-stock
