A 12-BORE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTOR

With reblacked 30 in. (76 cm.) nitro reproved chopperlump Whitworth steel barrels, the rib engraved 'FROM H.H. THE RAJAH OF RATLAM', 2 ¾ in. chambers, bored approx. cyl. and ¾ choke, removable striker discs, automatic safety, best quality bouquet and scroll engraving throughout, slight traces of original finish remaining, figured 14 ½ in. stock including rubber butt-pad, weight 6 lbs. 12 ½ oz., in brass-cornered leather case with large Purdey oil bottle, the lid with trade label of Manton & Co.
Provenance
The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in October 1913 for a K.D. Erskine. Erskine is noted as deceased in 1914 with the gun being bought back in October 1915. It was sold in May 1916 to Sahibzada Sher Ali Khan of Jahora, Central India.
