THE FIRST BY IRWIN WALLAS, WIGTON & CARLISLE, THE SECOND BY RICHARD EDWARD HODGES, LONDON, EACH CIRCA 1860
The first with 36 ¼ in. (92 cm.) browned twist barrel, case-hardened lock engraved with scrollwork and game birds, figured walnut half-stock, green horn fore-end cap, and some original finish, London proof marks; the second with 30 ¼ in. (76.8 cm.) browned twist barrel, reblued engraved action, figured walnut full stock, and cast brass fore-end formed as two figures of Minerva forming the hooks for the elastic string
