A COMPOSITE GERMAN INFANTRY CALENDAR BLADE BROADSWORD OF TESSAK TYPE

With straight 31 ½ in. (80 cm.) double-edged blade with rounded tip, etched on each side over its entire length with signs of the zodiac and months of the year detailing the names of Saints and their particular days, struck on each side with a maker's mark, Christ on the Cross, with associated iron basket-hilt retaining traces of etched decoration, and later wire-bound grip
