Lot Essay

Accompanied by a Longines Extract from the Archives confirming that the present Longines Weems second-setting wristwatch in silver with caliber 18.69N movement was invoiced on 10 February 1937 to the company Longines-Wittnauer, which was at that time the firm's agent for the USA.

The present watch comes from the earlier series of Weems watches with a silver case and smaller central disc with corresponding wider enamel dial. It is in strikingly good condition with no signs of cracks in the sensitive enamel dial and no signs of polishing.
