A Chinese Imari square dish
with canted corners, painted and gilt with a central flowerhead design containing wild flowers and grasses within a border of peonies and scrolling foliage -- 9¼in. (23.5cm) wide, 18th century; another plate, painted and gilt with a scroll shaped panel of a pavilion set in a walled garden amongst blossoming prunus, willow and peonies -- 12½in. (31cm) diam; and a blue and white flaring footed bowl, painted with cranes in flight above foaming waves -- 11¼in. (28.5cm) wide.
