EMBELLISHMENT, TSUDA FAMILY, KYOTO, JAPAN, 1900-1940; BOTTLE, CHINA, 1750-1820

Part of a group of Japanese-embellished bottles created by Tsuda Sokan and his son Tsuda Fukuya, this bottle displays a masterful use of materials on a Chinese, white jade snuff bottle. The use of such large, bold vessels on this bottle is unusual within the group.
