Lot Essay

The Eight Daoist emblems represent the items carried by the Eight Daoist Immortals. On this bottle they are each tied with a fluttering ribbon in the two tones of the glass overlay creating a sense of movement that is reminiscent of the fluttering scarves in Buddhist art.
