THREE OVERLAY GLASS SNUFF BOTTLES
1770-1900
The first, opaque white glass snuff bottle, 1800-1860, is carved through the transparent ruby-red overlay with blossoming plants and lingzhi growing from a lower rock band. The second, transparent bubble-suffused glass bottle, 1820-1900, is carved through the transparent red overlay with the 'two noble professions', on one side with the woodcutter and on the other with the fisherman, flanked by mask handles. The third, opaque white glass bottle, 1770-1850, is carved through the transparent brick-red overlay with a deer on one side and a crane on the other, flanked by a prunus tree and bamboo branches with a bat flying above.
2 ¼, 2 ¼ and 2 1/8 in. (5.7, 5.7 and 5.3 cm.) high, rose quartz, agate and glass stoppers
