A DOUBLE-OVERLAY GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
1800-1870
The clear glass bottle is suffused with bubbles and is carved through the opaque black and white overlays to depict the scholar Meng Haoran riding a donkey on one side, followed by his attendant who is surrounded by a blossoming prunus branch on the other side.
