A CARVED CAMEO AGATE SNUFF BOTTLE
1750-1860
The grey-colored stone is carved in relief through the dark russet 'skin' on one side to show two circling Buddhist lions with a brocade ball to the side. The reverse is carved with an orchid emerging from a cliff in low relief through an amber-colored plane.
2 ¼ in. (5.7 cm.) high, glass and hardstone stopper
