Two similar beads are illustrated by J. Rawson in Chinese Jade from the Neolithic to the Qing, British Museum, 1995, p. 144, no. 5:11, where the author notes that similar beads have been found in Liangzhu tombs. Another similar bead is illustrated by J. F. So in Chinese Jades from the Cissy and Robert Tang Collection, Art Museum, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, 2015, p. 48, no. 4a. The author, p. 51, notes that the features carved on the bead are typical of Liangzhu jades from Fanshan and Yaoshan, as demonstrated by those in a string of beads found at Yaoshan, Yuhang, Zhejiang province, illustrated in The Complete Collection of Jades Unearthed in China, vol. 8, Beijing, 2005, p. 128.
