KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The tapering ovoid body is decorated in underglaze blue with a four-clawed dragon chasing a flaming pearl amidst clouds as a tiger looks on from a grassy promontory, all in a landscape of water, rocks and trees below three rose sprigs on the slightly waisted neck, and detailed in yellow, aubergine and green against a ground of pale green color. An apocryphal Chenghua mark is on the base.
