A 'CHICKEN BONE' JADE ARCHAISTIC TRIPOD VESSEL
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The cylindrical vessel is raised on three animal mask supports and is carved in low relief around the sides with an archaistic design of two confronted dragons with angular scroll bodies separated by a stylized mask, all on a ground of comma spirals between decorative borders.
