QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The Buddha is seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base, with the right hand extended in varadamudra, holding a single myrobalan fruit between the thumb and index finger. The figure wears layered monk's robes that fall in crisp, elegant folds around the body. The face is finely cast with a serene expression, and the hair is dressed in tight curls below the usnisha.
