MANUSCRIPT in a neat 18th-century hand, with some corrections and additions of later date, transcribed from Jean Menestrier's Cabinet des Medalles, Monnoyes et Monumens Antique, [ca. 1720], 2° (312 x 188mm.), with finely-detailed pen-and-ink drawings of the obverse and verso of ancient medals (most Roman), one design to each page with descriptions beneath, contemporary vellum (spine restored, upper joints cracking).
