Boucher, title with woodcut device, engraved dedication with headpiece by J. Mathieu, 72 engraved coastal charts and profiles (33 double-page). (Without charts 10 and 46 [as issued?], the maps number 1-9, 11-45, 47-59, two additional maps are present for number 8, 29, 32, and one additional map for plates 12; 15; 17; 18; 22; 23; 25; 43; 49; 51. Plate 28 with additional small map and one correction pasted over.) (A few leaves with soft creasing, some occasional light browning.) Contemporary calf gilt, the covers stamped with the French Royal arms, upper cover with gilt stamped: “Conseil de la Marine” (rebacked, old spine laid down, corners repaired) and text bound in contemporary full tree calf, spine gilt. Provenance: Trabaud, Hydrographe sur le Port a Marseille (label on title of text volume).
