FIRST EDITION. Compiled by William Stanley, this is the second of four catalogues of the manuscripts left to Corpus Christi by Matthew Parker (1504-1575), Archbishop of Canterbury. The first was a list of the manuscripts compiled in 1600 by Thomas James; in 1777 James Nasmith produced a third catalogue, which was published by the college and contained a portrait of Parker; and in 1912 appeared a fourth, compiled by M.R. James.
