SIGNED HABIB IBRAHIM, EGYPT, DATED AH 1327/1909-10 AD
Each of typical form with wide seats, straight backs surmounted by arabesque arches, the back of each elegantly engraved with two niches flanking a square panel all engraved with arabesque, panels of mashrabiyya above and below, the engraved elements each inlaid with mother-of-pearl geometric or stellar motifs, the upper panels of mashrabiyya bordering a panel of thuluth script, the arched panel on the top with a crescent and star roundel between mother-of-pearl inlaid panels with the signature of the maker and date, the leading edges all with mother-of-pearl bands decorated with geometric strapwork, the seat and legs similarly decorated, some pieces now separate but retained, some lacking
