MARJORIE JACOBS (1915-2013)Marjorie Jacobs was Professor of History at Sydney University from 1969 – 1980. Her main area of scholarship was post-colonial history. This lead her to a life-long passion for India. One of her major interests was Indian miniature paintings, a subject on which she lectured frequently. She travelled regularly to India and England where she purchased the pieces which became her collection.
