Photograph album, Palestine, [n.d., but 1930s], containing 153 photographs (the majority 60 x 90mm) taken in Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Haifa, Acre, Damascus and elsewhere, annotated in Delbridge's hand, 24 leaves, oblong 4to (180 x 240mm) (the photos occasionally curled at their edges or detached from their mounts. Original red cloth (extremities rubbed and soiled).

GLIMPSE OF PALESTINE IN THE 1930S THROUGH THE EYES OF A BRITISH SERVICEMAN. Although most of the photographs show Delbridge with and of his fellow servicemen or are of topographical views, the images include: 'Searching on the border of Palestine & Syria,' 'On patrol in the hills of Jordan,' 'Convoy to Bayroot [sic],' 'Caught rebel wog,' and a few of various round-ups, interrogations and one of a destroyed house. Four images of a wrecked train and a lorry are entitled ' Trouble betweeen Arabs & Jews.'
