A GROUP OF FOUR ZITAN, HARDWOOD AND BAMBOO CARVINGS
17TH CENTURY AND LATER
The group comprises: an octagonal lacquered bamboo box and cover; a mother-of-pearl inlaid-hardwood brush pot decorated with figures in a landscape; a zitan box and cover carved with foliate scroll and a stylized petal border; and a zitan box and cover carved with chilong.
The largest, 5 in. (12.6 cm.) high
