A BAMBOO BRUSH POT AND A GOURD BRUSH POT, BITONG
19TH-20TH CENTURY
The bamboo brush pot is carved with figures beside a pavilion in a mountainous landscape, applied with later hongmu mounts. The gourd brush pot is of cylindrical form and carved with a lone figure on a bridge beside a large pine tree, surrounded by a mountainous landscape, with a Daoguang mark to the base.
The largest, 4 ¾ in. (12.2 cm.) high

Property from a Private Asian Collection, predominantly assembled in the 1980s and 1990s.
