A CARVED BAMBOO BRUSH POT, BITONG
WUSHEN CYCLICAL DATE CORRESPONDING TO 1848
The brush pot is carved to one side with a scene from 'Ode to The Red Cliff' of scholars in a boat surrounded by rocky landscape, pine and wutong trees. The reverse is incised with a poetic inscription.
