A GROUP OF FOUR BAMBOO WRIST RESTS
19TH AND 20TH CENTURY
The group comprises a wrist rest carved with birds flying in a rocky landscape, inscribed with a gengzi cyclical date of the Daoguang era, corresponding to 1840; two smaller wrist rests carved with bamboo and a mountainous landscape; and a wrist rest carved in the form of bamboo stems laid beside each other.
The largest, 7 ½ in. (19 cm.) long

Property from a Private Asian Collection, predominantly assembled in the 1980s and 1990s.
