AN IRON-RED AND GILT-DECORATED 'CARP' VASE
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The vase is decorated with a large carp leaping from a band of waves and lotus flowers, below a gilt moon. The base is painted in underglaze blue with a lingzhi sprig.
