YUAN-MING DYNASTY (1260-1644)
The cup has twin openwork handles, one carved with a crane, the other with a deer with a lingzhi branch in its mouth. The body is carved in relief with two stylised seal script characters, dragons and chilong between lappet and keyfret bands to the rim and base. The stone is of a mottled celadon tone with russet inclusions and cloudy white flecks.
