A PALE GREY JADE CENSER AND WOOD COVER
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The censer is supported on a splayed foot and is carved with a triple row of raised nodes below an incised band of yin yang symbols and geometrical figures. The sides are carved with twin loop handles terminating in dragon's heads. The openworked wood cover has a fruit-shaped agate finial. The stone is of a pale grey tone with some dark grey veins.
