A POLYCHROME-PAINTED WOOD FIGURE OF GUANYIN
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The bodhisattva is seated in royal ease, rajalilasana, on rocks, wearing long robes with beaded jewellery and a high crown set with a figure of Amitayus. The figure is covered with traces of red, blue, green and gilt pigments.
